I recognize Inokim makes very good scooters, owning two OXO's. But their customer service is non-existent, and their parts are hugely overpriced. The mudguard loosened and came under the wheel of my son's OXO (he was fortunately able to control the skid) and needed to be replaced. The part through Inokim Shop was $150. I ordered it on July 28. By September 16, I had not received anything, and chatted online with Inokim. They checked and realized they never sent it, and did send it right away (we received it two days later). I had asked that they include the wheel cap for the front wheel, which the scooter never came with from the factory. They told me they would include it, but if course did not. Unfortunately, I found the same mud guard a day later when searching for the wheel cap that wasn't included for $45 on eBay. Between the lack of service and overpricing of their parts, post purchase has been a disappointing experience. One other issue with Inokim OXO. The brakes have never been right, you practically have to squeeze the handle to the bar to get the back brake to work. It helps if you "pump" the brake by squeezing it a few times. They also squeak and rub, and have since the beginning. I am dreading having to bring it up to them in NYC for the (I'm certain overpriced) repair. Also, good luck getting any warranty information or coverage. In short, although I like the performance of the scooters, if I had to do it over again, I would avoid Inokim like the plague.
