Store and test rides
Where is the INOKIM store in New York?
156 West 15th Street, New York, NY 10011, between 6th and 7th Avenue in Chelsea. Open Monday to Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 7 PM. Everything about visiting is on the store page.
Can I test ride a scooter before buying?
Yes. Test rides are free during store hours and take about 15 minutes. You can book a time online so the scooter is set up when you arrive, or walk in.
Do I need an appointment to visit?
No. Walk in any time during store hours to see the scooters or take a test ride. Only repairs are by appointment.
Riding in New York City
Are INOKIM scooters legal in NYC?
Yes. New York City requires electric scooters sold in the city to be UL 2272 certified and capped at 20 mph. Scooters sold in our store meet both requirements. Riders must be 16 or older, ride in bike lanes or on streets with a speed limit of 30 mph or less, stay off sidewalks and keep to 15 mph. More on our NYC-legal electric scooters page.
How fast do INOKIM scooters go?
Every scooter we sell in New York is configured to a 20 mph top speed, which is the limit New York City sets for electric scooters. Riding modes let you set a lower speed for crowded streets and bike lanes.
Shipping and delivery
Do you ship outside New York?
We ship anywhere in the United States. We do not ship internationally at this time.
How long does delivery take and what does it cost?
Standard shipping is free and takes 3 to 4 business days after a handling time of 1 to 2 business days. Express delivery in 1 to 2 business days is available at checkout for $150. Full details are in the shipping policy.
Returns and warranty
What is your return policy?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of purchase for items that are unused, in the same condition you received them and in the original packaging. The complete terms are in the refund policy.
What warranty comes with an INOKIM scooter?
Every scooter comes with a 1-year warranty. Wear items such as tires and brake pads, damage from accidents or misuse, and work done outside our facility are not covered. See the warranty terms.
Service and repairs
Do you repair electric scooters?
Yes. The INOKIM Scooters Lab at the store is the authorized INOKIM service center in New York, with factory-trained technicians and genuine parts. Repairs are by appointment. Book on the repair page.
Do you repair scooters from other brands?
No. We service INOKIM scooters only.
Do you sell spare parts and accessories?
Yes. Tires, brake pads, chargers, batteries, controllers, bags and locks are in the parts and accessories collections and in the store.
How should I charge and store the battery?
Use the original charger, charge at room temperature, avoid running the battery flat and avoid leaving it at 100 percent for days. For winter storage keep it at 50 to 60 percent and top up every four to six weeks. Our maintenance and winter storage guide has the full routine.
